How to prepare : Family Sessions

Family sessions are, above all, about capturing wonderful moments, emotions and smiles. I make every effort to show you in the most beautiful light, among your love and joy. I

do family sessions both in the studio and outdoors. It’s up to you to decide where you feel best. Together, we put together appropriate styles so that the resulting frames will

delight you every time together – when you watch them together. If you dream of unique images full of your love – make an appointment with me for a session.

Q&A

How long is the session?

approximately 2 hours

What should I bring along?

Your outfits should make everyone feel comfortable and confident. You can bring two outfits just in case. Make sure when you arrive with your kids, no matter what age that they have drinks, favourite snacks and a toy.

Personal Styling Tips

Before your session, we’ll have a thorough consultation to understand your vision and ensure your dream images come to life.

Makeup & Hair

If you wish, we can add to your package by sourcing a professional hair and makeup artist. We recommend this for studio shoots which can transform your session. Our stylists can create your perfect look whether you prefer to stay natural or go for a more dramatic look. It’s all about making you feel fabulous!

CLOTHING & ACCESSORIES

Here are 5 general outfit tips to help you decide what to wear for your family photo shoot:

1. Create a cohesive colour scheme: Start by picking a main colour and explore different shades within the same family. Neutral colours like navy blue, cream, and beige are versatile and timeless options. Vivid colours are great as well for cool fashion-styled portraits as well for kids.

2. Consider the time of year and location: In the studio, we can create anything but you may want to think about the season of your shoot. Earthy tones for autumn and pastels for spring can complement beautifully.

3. Flatter all body shapes and ages: Choose outfits that suit each family member’s body type and age. Darker shades are universally flattering, but don’t be afraid to add some vibrant colours too!

4. Mix and match textures and patterns: Experiment but keep a balance to avoid visual chaos. It’s all about creating harmony among family members. Avoid big logos.

5. Reflect on your Personal Style: Your family’s personal style should shine through in the photos. Be true to who you are as a family, whether that’s casual and relaxed or more formal.
