Portrait Sessions
Get ready for picture-perfect moments with your professional portrait session.
We understand the significance of a professional portrait in both your personal and business life in today’s digital age. Your image often precedes you, making it crucial to capture the best version of yourself during a photoshoot. Achieving outstanding portraits is a collaborative effort between you, the subject and your experienced photographer.
This collaboration thrives on good direction and trust, ensuring a session that truly highlights your best features. Preparation is the key to creating stunning portraits, and we guide you through the process to guarantee the best results. Before your photoshoot, we discuss suggestions while encouraging you to bring your own ideas. Understanding the desired end product and the message you want to convey for your business is essential. Together, we create a plan that ensures a successful and enjoyable experience.

To make your preparation hassle-free, here are some tips for getting ready for your professional portrait shoot:
- Flattering Wardrobe: Choose clothes that complement and flatter your body type. Opt for solid, soft, and muted colours, avoiding logos, bold patterns, neon, and wrinkled clothing.
- Clothing Care: Ensure all clothes are clean and pressed. Bring two different outfits to add variety to your portraits.
- Footwear: Wear stylish shoes or boots that enhance your overall look.
Note: Prepare your shoes for the photo shoot, the soles must be clean so that they do not leave marks on the paper backgrounds in the studio. The shoes you came to the photo shoot in, even if you only got out of the car and into the studio, will need to have masking tape stuck to the soles.
- Accessories: Keep accessories simple to maintain a clean and elegant aesthetic.
- Eyewear: If you wear glasses, make sure they are glare-free for a polished appearance.
- Grooming for Men: Aim for a clean-shaven look, and consider having a haircut a week or so before the session.
- Grooming for Women: Style your hair before the session and, if applicable, colour your hair a few days in advance, especially if you have dark roots.
- Makeup: Opt for natural makeup, slightly heavier than usual for a polished look. Consider hiring a hair and makeup artist if you’re unsure about creating a striking look yourself.
- Nail Care: Have your nails manicured to complete your polished appearance.
The value of good preparation is evident in the resulting photographs below. We hope you agree that the investment in your preparation pays off in capturing stunning, high-quality portraits.
